The complete diagnostic suite. Learn when to run the full Gauntlet, and when a single isolated test will save you time and money.
Execution Sequence
If you have no idea what is wrong, do not randomly print photos. Download our bundle and run them in this strict order to isolate the failure:
| Sequence | Test Category | What it Rules Out |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | CMYK / Colour Blocks | Basic ink flow and dead liquid channels. |
| 2 | Alignment Grid | Physical printhead synchronization and jagged edges. |
| 3 | Grayscale Gradient | Laser roller scratching and thermal fuser failure. |
Avoiding Wasted Supplies
When is one test enough? If your only symptom is a jagged Excel spreadsheet, do not run a full-colour CMYK test. Run the Registration/Alignment check only. Printing the full bundle when unnecessary simply wastes high-yield consumables.
Diagnostic Methodology Note: This guide strictly separates mechanical printer failures from software rendering anomalies, ensuring you only replace hardware parts when physically necessary. Cross-reference brand guidelines before opening internal service panels.
