Kodak Printer Test Pages & Diagnostics

Kodak’s consumer printer line was discontinued in 2012, though many ESP and Hero models remain in use. Their ‘cheap ink, expensive printer’ model means their printheads are prone to permanent failure.

Common Kodak Issue Clusters

  • Printhead Degradation: Unlike brands where the head is built into the cartridge, Kodak uses a semi-permanent head. If cleanings fail to fix white lines, the head is usually dead.
  • Cartridge Recognition: The gold contacts on Kodak cartridges oxidize quickly. Clean them with an eraser or isopropyl alcohol.
  • Legacy Drivers: Modern Windows OS updates often break Kodak’s proprietary scanning and printing software.
