Brother printers are the industry standard for durability. Their laser line (HL-series) is exceptionally reliable, but their ‘Drum Unit’ requires periodic manual resetting.
Common Brother Issue Clusters
- ‘Replace Drum’ Message: This is often a timer, not an actual failure. Clean the ‘Corona Wire’ (the green slider) first.
- Ghost Images: Common in Brother laser printers when the fuser roller gets toners build-up. See our Ghosting Guide.
- Deep Sleep Loop: Some models fail to wake up from WiFi. A static IP address usually fixes this permanent disconnection.
